AT&T launching new 4G LTE markets
AT&T continues its 4G LTE rollout today with a few new markets. Customers in Daytona Beach, Florida; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and York, Pennsylvania should start seeing 4G LTE go live in the coming week for their capable devices.
As we continue to see, weeks where Verizon rolls out several new markets, AT&T rolls out just a few. AT&T isn't far behind though (going quicker than Sprint), projecting that it will cover a vast amount of America in the coming months. In the end, everyone wins when we have multiple companies pushing out LTE at a quick rate here in the states.

Diamond Multimedia AMP1000 Android Media Player/Set-Top Box ICS Update Available For Download
About a week ago, I reviewed the Diamond Multimedia AMP1000 set-top box. Throughout the review, my one major complaint with the device was that the Android 2.3 interface is nothing short of terrible on a large display. The ray of shining light through it all, though, was the fact that Diamond promised an Android 4.0 update was coming soon.
I have to be honest here: I expected it to be weeks – or even months – before the ICS update was ready to go. But here we are, one short week later, and the update is now available for download.

Diamond Multimedia AMP1000 Set-Top Box Review: It’s Like Putting A Giant Gingerbread Phone In Your Living Room
While GoogleTV still hasn’t really taken off, the idea of an Android-powered set-top box is still a good one if properly executed. Diamond Multimedia recently tried its hand at such an execution with the AMP1000 (Android Media Player), its first venture into the Android realm.
But, like with any new project attempt, there is plenty of room for failure. As we’ve seen so many times before, what seems like a good idea on paper can easily be a disaster in execution.
While I wouldn’t go as far as calling the AMP a “disaster,” Diamond’s attempt at an Android box is… not very good.

AT&T posted their second quarter 2012 financial results today. 5.1 million smartphones were sold; subtract the 3.7 million iPhone activated, and you should get a pretty clear idea of how many Android devices were sold. There were 1.3 million net subscribers added. Here are the broad strokes.
Red Samsung Galaxy S III coming to AT&T
Want to get the Samsung Galaxy S III, but want more color options? If yes, then you might be interested in this red offering that’s up for pre-order at AT&T. Or you could just pick up a case, which I’d suggest because honestly, this looks pretty ugly to me. And I’m someone who loves red.
Thanks, Junior Luna
