Leaked Pics and Specs for Verizon’s LG Lucid 4G
The LG Lucid 4G, which had been code named the LG Cayman, is showing its face in these new pics. The leaked pics don’t show too much to comment on, so we’re expecting a mid-range Android phone for Verizon.
We’ve previously reported on a leaked document that named March 29 as the release date, most likely for under $200.
Here are the leaked specs:
- dual-core 1.2GHz processor
- 4G LTE
- 8 GB of internal storage
- 5 megapixel rear camera with 1080p video
- 1 GB of RAM
- Android 2.3
- 4-inch, WVGA NOVA display, capable of 700 nits of brightness
The model number for the LG Lucid is VS840, which lands it in Verizon’s lineup between the LG Enlighten (VS700) and LG Spectrum (VS920).

Black Friday deals revealed for Verizon
Do you have your Black Friday plans all worked out yet? Me neither. There are just too many stores and too many deals to wade through. A lot of a persons plans depend on money available. While others use the biggest shopping holiday of the year to max out those credit cards. If you are looking for that special deal on a new device from your favorite carrier, or the one you are stuck on, here is one coming in from Verizon.
Look like you will be able to pick up a whole slew of devices for some pretty great prices.
- Red DROID Incredible 2 for FREE
- LG Revolution for $49.99
If there is something else on your list though, they have a few other deals that will be running all weekend. Including the Double Smartphone data deal (4GB for $30)
- Xoom for $199 on contract
- Xperia Play for FREE
- LG Enlighten for FREE
The only thing that always seems to get under my skin, is the deals that the carriers often have aren’t really all that amazing. Where as companies like Amazon will be offering a much larger selection of devices for mere pennies. Literally.

Here’s What Verizon Wireless Has In Store For You Black Friday
Whether you’re starting Black Friday on Black Thursday night or actually on Friday, we’ve got the low down on Verizon Wireless’ big deals for Black Friday, courtesy of our friends at Droid-Life.
The biggest Black Friday deal looks to be the original Motorola Xoom tablet for $199 on a new two year data plan agreement. Tread cautiously here though, yes it’s a great value on the 10.1″ original Xoom, now with 4G LTE but the new XYboard may end up here before the end of the year.
The next big deal is the HTC Droid Incredible 2 in a festive red color. This device will be free with a new two year agreement on Friday only.
The Sony Xperia Play and the LG Enlighten are to be free all weekend and the LG Revolution will be just $49.99 on Friday only. All weekend long Verizon Wireless is doing free activations and their double data promotion continues through the holiday shopping season.

LG Enlighten for Verizon
The LG Enlighten was mentioned a few weeks ago but since than – nothing was mentioned about this middle-range Android based smart-phone. But, after some digging we were able to find this picture in Sprint’s catalogue that gives us a little bit closer glance at the device mentioned as well as assures us in its “coming soon” status. So, the LG Enlighten will be equipped with an 800MHz processor, a 3.2-inch touch-screen, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a board and full sliding out QWERTY keyboard. The rumored release date was set on August 25 but, as you can see on you calendar, the date mentioned is really far behind and Verizon’s coming soon is also something that can’t be trusted and relied on. But, without any doubt, we are expecting this middle-range fellow to become a part of our Android family and the sooner – the better. Stay tuned for updates coming up soon.
LG Enlighten to be Sold by Walmart for Less Than a Dollar
Verizon’s LG Enlighten is an interesting phone, combining all that was successful with the LG Optimus One with a hardware keyboard. We’re sure it would have gotten a ton of looks at retail, but now that Walmart is said to be selling it for $.97 as evidenced by its appearance in this upcoming week’s product catalog, we’d say many-a new smartphone owner will get their hands on this one before considering anything else. It has a 3.2 inch display, a 3 megapixel camera and an 800MHz processor, and if LG makes this thing feel anything like the Optimus One, we can’t imagine that chipset would fail to handle Android + LG’s UI nicely. Be on the lookout for it starting Sunday, I suppose. [PhoneArena]
LG Enlighten for Verizon unveiled and ready to make an appearance on August 25th
The LG Enlighten (VS700) is finally ready to make its Verizon debut this Thursday August 25th, and it will eventually make the rounds to Sprint, US Cellular, and CellularSouth.
It comes with Gingerbread, an 800MHz processor, a 3.2-inch (480 x 320) screen, a 3.2MP camera, 150MB internal memory, and a 2GB microSD card. Okay, this phone is nothing to brag about, but for $100 it will appeal to a certain segment. Something tells me this will be offered for FREE before the holiday season, which will make it even more appealing.
One more picture after the break.

LG Enlighten Exposed in Promotional Renders

What you see here is Verizon’s LG Enlighten a mid-range handset that best fills the hole left by last year’s LG Vortex Otherwise known as the LG Gelato Q, the Enlighten features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 800MHz processor, and 3.2-inch display. Rumors place the phone on Verizon’s shelves come August 25th with an attractive $100 (give or take) price point.

LG’s New Mid Range Android, The Enlighten Replaces Ally At Verizon
The word on the street has been that LG has a new device called the Gelato heading our way. The Gelato is coming to Verizon Wireless as the LG Enlighten. This midrange Android phone features an 800mhz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a slide out qwerty keyboard.
LG picked up some messaging phone converts last year with the LG Ally that also featured a slide out qwerty keyboard. It wasn’t the superphones we Android enthusiasts are used to but nonetheless it reached a good number of customers on their first Android smartphone.
It looks like this device will come out on August 25th.

Verizon Set To Release LG Enlighten Next Month In US?
Verizon is potentially bringing the LG Gelato Q to the United States as the LG Enlighten. Release is rumored for sometime in September, and wouldn’t it be awesome if it looked like this? We would have to buy one just for novelty purposes. It could just be a filler phone, or may not even be [...]
