Falcon Pro gets update and adds white theme and multi-window support

Falcon Pro made our list of best looking apps a few weeks ago, and today the popular Twitter app got an update making it look even nicer. Today’s update adds a beautiful new white theme to the mix, along with multi-window support for Galaxy Note and Galaxy S III devices. Besides the new theme there is the normal gamut of bug fixes and minor UI tweaks as the developers of Falcon Pro continue to make the app better and better. No wonder it’s one of the best Twitter apps around.  Check out the screen shots and the QR code/download link after the break.

New HTC Sense Dialer and Keyboard spotted in leaked images

We just reported that HTC will be updating its Sense UI to version 5.0 with the release of its next batch of flagship phones; namely, the yet to be confirmed M7. Sense 5.0 is rumored to have a cleaner and simpler UI, and we may be getting the first glimpse of it in these images from a Chinese website. There’s not much to see here, but it does look like HTC is working toward a more minimalistic design scheme, and we’re liking it a lot! Jump past the break to see the updated Keyboard.  What do you guys think? Are you liking HTC’s new design direction?

Samsung Galaxy S4 Allegedly Makes First Photo Appearance

The folks over at SamMobile, a typically on point news outlet when it comes to Samsung news, thinks they have received the first ever photo of the Galaxy S4. Have they? Tough to tell. Though, it does look like one heck of a pretty render for a Samsung-inspired device. Their source, a purported insider, claims [...]

16GB Nexus 10 now back in stock on Google Play

The shameful stock situation Google’s been suffering with its Nexus phone and tablet range has got a little better today, with the Asus-made Nexus 7 now available once again in its 3G/32GB incarnation for the usual unlocked price of £239, joining the 32GB Wi-Fi only model in being available direct from Google.

Also, Google’s now started accepting orders for the 16GB Nexus 10 again, which currently ships in “less than one week” if you believe what Google’s rather wobbly ordering system has to say. That’s at the same £319 price as before, too.

nexus-10-stock

The bad news is that, in the UK at least, the 16GB Nexus 7 is still unavailable, as are the two Nexus 4 models (surprise!) AND the 32GB Nexus 10, meaning only THREE out of the SEVEN Nexus devices are currently in stock through Google’s direct store.

But that’s better than yesterday, when only one Nexus 7 model was listed as being in stock.

HTC One SV now available on Clove UK

HTC announced that it would bring the One SV to the UK, and they’ve made good on that promise. Clove UK is now carrying the LTE-equipped, 4.3 inch, Snapdragon-wielding device, sim-unlocked and available in white and blue. It unfortunately is still running Ice Cream Sandwich, but we’ve seen some leaks that say it’ll get the Jelly Bean update, hopefully sooner rather than later. Now cross your fingers and hope it makes its way to the US.

Verizon-LTE equipped Galaxy Note 10.1 passes through FCC

Samsung’s multi-talented tablet device, the Galaxy Note 10.1, has been pretty quiet lately, save for a few updates in certain regions here and there. Well, after spending a few months in the shadow of its little brother, the Note 2, the tablet peeked out of the FCC with Verizon LTE bands and support for 3G connectivity. Neither Samsung or Verizon has said anything about this little surprise, but I’m sure they won’t keep too quiet about it for very long. Hopefully we’ll see another carrier or two pick up a data-enabled version of this device, too.

Further proof the U.S. is gadget hungry: We now have more internet connected gadgets than people

I don’t this is going to be a shocker to anyone, but it sure is eye-opening when you consider that there are now more internet connected devices than people in the U.S. According to the NPD Group, there are about 425 million such gadgets in homes that consist of smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, and of course desktop computers and laptops. With 311 million people, it’s a lock that this spread will continue to grow.

Desktops and laptops continue to dominate the numbers, but mobile is growing fast and furious. Right now there are roughly 183.8 million desktops and laptops, but between smartphones and tablets, they make up roughly 164.8 million. The rest of the numbers are comprised of video game consoles, HDTVs, media players, and Blu-ray players.

Is it possible that by the end of 2013, smartphones and tablets will overtake computers and laptops?
