O2 UK blocking ICS updates for Xperia Arc, Ray and Neo

While Sony may have created some excitement in the last seven days with all their IFA announcements, for owners of some of the 2011 Xperia devices on O2 UK there is less cause for celebration.
The British carrier has decided to block the update to Ice Cream Sandwich for three Xperia devices, the Arc, Ray and Neo. Despite Sony themselves having already released the updates for unlocked versions of all three devices, O2 claims that performance issues have caused them to block the update for their customers.
They claim that Android 4.0 affected the devices' speed and performance, and since it didn't meet their requirements, O2 customers with one of these devices will remain on Gingerbread.

Rogers now rolling out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the Motorola RAZR

Although it's coming later than some of its counterparts, Rogers in Canada has started rolling out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the Motorola RAZR. Android 4.0.4 is what you'll be getting exactly. If you're not seeing the notification update on your device yet, you can check for updates and it may be waiting. If not, you'll just have to hang on a little longer as it seems like a staggered release.
Thanks, @dbeger14

LG Singapore confirms ICS upgrades for Optimus Black,Optimus 2X, Optimus 3D, and more
LG Singapore issued its users an update via their Facebook page regarding the Ice Cream Sandwich rollout for several of their phones. They’ve confirmed that the LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus 3D, LG Optimus 2X, LG Optimus LTE, and the LG Prada would all be getting Ice Cream Sandwich “in due time.”
We can’t blame them for not even promising a quarterly release window with how unpredictable these things can be. But it’s good to know that these phones will get the update in at least one market.
While LG Global is not yet ready to disclose any information on their ICS plans, LG Singapore’s confession gives us hope that other markets should eventually be seeing the upgrade that has eluded them for so long. [Facebook]

CyanogenMod 9 gets stable for the Galaxy Nexus

Just a quick heads up that CyanogenMod 9 has hit stable build status for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. (That's the GSM Maguro version of the GNex.) That means you'll be running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and not the newer Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. But if you've got a hankering for some stable CM9 on the GNex, you're ready to go.
If you do choose to download and are comfortable with torrents, be sure to seed. You'll be doing the world a favor.

STATS: Android 4.0 now powering 16% of all Android devices
Google’s latest Platform Versions data has been updated overnight, giving us our regular, very exciting (yes really) look at how the various versions of Google’s OS are represented out there in the real world. The stats are generated by monitoring connections to the Play Store, this time covering the fortnight ending August 1st.
And the Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android is the big mover this month, rocketing up from running 11% of Android devices last month to 15.9% this, thanks mainly to, we’d imagine, the vast numbers of Galaxy S III phones Samsung’s been shifting around the world.
However, over 60% of all Android users out there are still working with the 2.3 version of the OS on their mobiles and tablets, which must be a little frustrating for some.
Android OS Distribution Numbers Updated – Jelly Bean Debuts, Ice Cream Sandwich Starts to Take Over
