“Android Winning” T-Shirt Represents the Growth of the Platform
The latest t-shirt design from our favorite Android t-shirt designers is known as “ANDROID WINNING.” It’s a slide redesign of their Andy vs. shirt, omitting the late Steve Jobs and including some additional green power. I’d have to agree that Android is winning this battle. As always, the shirt is $17 and is printed on high-quality American Apparel [...]

Androidify Me prints your Androidify avatar on stickers or posters
I’m sure many of our readers know plenty about the popular Androidify App from Google that lets you dress and design your own Android avatar as yourself, or anything else you have in mind. One of the best parts of Mobile World Congress 2011 was the Androidify print station Google had set up where users were able to print their own Androidify avatars and create stickers. Sadly not everyone was able to make it to MWC and partake in the fun. If you want your own Androidify Avatar as a sticker for your phone, laptop, tablet or anything else check out this new kickstarter project below for all the details.
With the same print station idea from MWC we present you with Androidifyme.com, a kickstarter project by Aleksandr Peredereyev that is looking for a few backers that can help get this project and awesome idea off the ground and into flight — or print I should say. So if you’d like to help by donating a few bucks all of the details can be found at kickstarter.com where a contribution will get you a set of stickers or your own t-shirt and more.

The image above is an actual picture of what to expect. Users create their Androidify avatar and the new Androidifyme project makes as many stickers as you’d like and sends them right to your door, how awesome is that? Like all kickstarter projects, you pledge a certain amount of money into the idea and will only be charged if the goal is met — in this case that goal is $4550. If the goal is not met you will not be charged a cent and will just move on to the next big thing.
For more pictures and all the details visit the Kickstartker page and Androidifyme.com for more information. — Thanks Aleksandr!

Dark Knight Andy T-Shirts now available, show your Android spirit
Well folks, if looks like those awesome T-shirt designers are at it again with another fancy option this Halloween. They’ve just released the new “Dark Knight Andy” edition of their Android T-shirts. I think “King Kong Andy” and “Unstoppable Andy” are still my two favorites though.

The man behind these T-shirts is George Soto, and while recently they’ve been all about Android vs Apple this newest creation is just a nice Halloween edition instead. I don’t see Steve Jobs anywhere in this latest shirt design so maybe he’s changed his tune due to recent sad events. That or we can expect to see Tim Cook leading the charge on the next shirt in his popular on-going series.
Soto also offers “Andy vs Apple” which i believe was one of his first pieces of Android art and clothing. You can also get both a shirt or a poster of the highly popular “Exploded Andy“. All the shirts mentioned come in a variety of sizes and are priced at a reasonable $15 dollars for those interested, although this newest edition is $17 instead. While Halloween has already passed now would be a great time to get this new Dark Knight shirt so you’ll be prepared to show your Andy spirit come next year.
Who’s buying one? Put me down for two.

“Dark Knight Andy” T-Shirt Sees Android Mascot Dressing Up as a Bat for Halloween
Our friends behind the “Andy” series of t-shirts have come to town with yet another entry. This one’s a bit modest compared to previous designs, but no less cool (in my opinion, anyway). It has our Android robot mascot (Bug Droid) dressing up as a bat with the words Android on its wings.
Placed prominently in the center of the t-shirt, it almost looks like a batman shirt and considering the name of the shirt – Dark Knight Andy – we’d say there’s a connection there. It’s a bit late for halloween but no less cool. You can get yours for $17 + $5 US shipping or $7 shipping everywhere else at the link ahead. [Dark Knight Andy via Droid Life]

NVIDIA giving away 5 Acer Iconia A500 Tabs Free at the new Tegra Zone
Earlier today we reported about the brand new TegraZone.com from NVIDIA aiming to show users all about NVIDIA Tegra 2 Android powered devices. It’s also a great place to see all the latest and greatest games geared specifically for Tegra 2 devices such as the Acer Iconia Tab A500 Honeycomb tablet. Even better is they are giving away five for FREE.

Earlier this morning the new website was launched and they have some exciting things at the site as well as tons of game reviews (plenty by us). While snooping around we noticed the community portal has forums and chat areas. One of the best parts about snooping around in the community area is we’ve spotted a banner where NVIDIA is giving away 5 FREE Acer Iconia A500 Honeycomb tablets.

If you’d like to enter to win make sure you click here and sign up before it ends come September 25th for your chance to win 1 of 5 new tablets. Even if you don’t win the tablet you could still get a fancy NVIDIA T-shirt, and you get to enjoy all that the new TegraZone.com has to offer of course.
Good Luck!

The Bugdroid meets the Dragon
If you’ve yet to watch anything form the Authors@Google series, you’re very much missing out. And a recent guest was George R.R. Martin, who penned "A Game of Thrones," the first book of the "A Song of Fire and Ice" series. Perhaps you’ve heard of it.
As if an hour-long sitdown with Martin isn’t cool enough, check out the shirt the Googlers presented him with. It’s an Android Dragon T-shirt. How awesome is that? You can get your own at the link below. But head on past the break and watch the interview, too. It’s well worth it.

This old and busted Motorola Droid just won a new Droid 3!
It’s been a week or so since we asked you to show us your old and busted phones in hopes of winning our new hotness Motorola Droid 3. Upward of 600 entries later, we found ourselves a winner, plucked at random from the pile of decayed and decrepit phones. And it’s fitting, because Android Central Forums member lorzee just happens to have an original Motorola Droid that’s unlikely to be allowed through airport security.
But that’s not all. In addition to lorzee winning the Droid 3 (plus $50 worth of accessories and an Android Central T-shirt), we’ve got more winners.
- tralfaz wins $50 worth of accessories, and an Android Central T-shirt.
- And dra, trusteelfan and bacumings each wins an Android Central T-shirt.
Congrats, everybody! And we’ll absolutely have more contests coming up soon.

Have an old busted phone? Win our new Motorola Droid 3!
Let’s face it, there are a lot of you out there with the original Motorola Droid, and it’s probably starting to look a little haggard. Tell you what: We’re going to give one lucky person our (mostly) brand new Motorola Droid 3. And being the benevolent bloggers that we be, let’s sweeten the deal. Here’s what we’ll do:
- One lucky person will will our Motorola Droid 3. (You’ll be on your own for Verizon’s service, though.) And we’ll throw in $50 worth of accessories from the Android Central Store, too, and an Android Central T-shirt, too.
- One other lucky person’s gonna get a $50 store certificate, plus a free Android Central T-shirt.
- And three more of you will win Android Central T-shirts.
What do you have to do to win? Take a picture of your old and busted phone. Doesn’t have to be a Motorola Droid. Could be any smartphone. Or, hell, a feature phone. So long as it’s old and busted. (But don’t go dragging your RAZR through the streets, ya dig?) Then head into the forums via the link below, and post your pic. We’ll choose the winners at 5 p.m. EST Aug. 5, and announce ‘em here on the blog.
It’s a U.S. phone, of course, but we can ship T-shirts to a number of countries, so those of you outside the U.S. won’t be left out. Now take your pics, and post ‘em in the forums! Good luck!
Post your pic here to win a Motorola Droid 3!
ShirtBAM Offers %10 Discount for Site Launch
Well this is an amazing idea. The new site, ShirtBAM.com, just launched and is offering a 10% discount for orders of this weeks shirt. Which is featuring the Google+ Circles on the front. Hopefully this particular shirt doesn’t end up in a C&D email from Google. Just more free publicity for them after all.
What is ShirtBAM? It is a new T-shirt website that creates and sells t-shirts to the public. The shirt designs are submitted by users, like yourself, and then printed up. Every week a new shirt will go up for sale on Monday and continue until Sunday. Unless it sells out sooner. If either of those two happen, then the shirt is gone forever and never to be seen again. That really puts the ‘limited time offer’ to its meaning.
If you have shirt designs you would like to submit, visit shirtbam.com and click the ‘Submit Shirt Art‘ link. Other wise you can follow them on Twitter and Facebook to keep up with what new shirt is out each week. I’d love to see this idea take off and keep us all geared up with some unique shirts that not everyone and their mom has.
